Top five reasons why I am AWESOME!

5) I gain five pounds whenever I go to Hawaii. I think this fact makes me more likable and helps people get over the "Hawaii" part.

4) I brush my teeth 3 times a day. I also shave my pits. (Your welcome!)

3) I am impervious to smelly, poop-filled diapers. Doesn't bother me AT ALL.

2) I am good with chocolate: eating, cooking, licking, smelling, stealing/borrowing, hiding, etc.

And the #1 reason why I am THE BOMB: I set my brother up with his future wife. They are engaged! Oh, yeah! (Imagine me pirouetting and singing out loud the following: I am the queen of Mormon matchmaking! I am a matchmaker extraordinaire! )

Don't they give medals in Heaven for this kind of thing?

Seriously, I can't take too much credit. It's kind of a no-brainer when you introduce two wonderful, intelligent, attractive people. It's not hard to guess the ending. Still, I reserve the right to feel smug for at least a few more days. :)

Birthday Boy

I have been feeling all things lazy. Here are a few pics from Tank's birthday. Perhaps this would be an appropriate time to mention that I am missing the baby days. No, I do not long for another nocturnal waking bundle but I do miss the lack of activity. Case-in-point: The favorite new activity is rubbing expensive eye cream or pink lip gloss in his hair. I washed his hair four times yesterday. Yes, four times. I am not including the washing I did at bath time. A newly acquired two year old hobby that also is noteworthy: emptying the toilet paper roll into the toilet therefore causing the toilet to clog. Fun-filled entertainment for wee folks. Not so much for the plunger operator. On the bright-side, I am getting a lot of heart-pumping exercise trying to catch him before his wobbly little legs make it out of the front yard into the street. (The sibs often forget and leave the front door open and M is no dummy. In fact, I would say he always has one eye on the door looking for an opportunity.)

Ahhh, but he does give the best kisses and hugs. I love that boy. I really, really do.

Reynolds Family and the Harry Potter Extravaganza

My kids are scared to death of The Little Mermaid. Yes, the Disney cartoon version. So you can imagine the difficulty I had in getting them excited about the Harry Potter series. We started by reading the first book and as soon as we finished it was decided that we were going to watch the first movie and have a party. At our house a party is all about the eats. So we had chocolate covered frogs, edible magic wands, dragon dung, Bertie Botts all flavored beans, and of course different mix-your-own potions to drink. I printed out the house crests and the kids assigned us each to a house and made a badge/necklace for us to wear. In case you care: Kate-Gryffindor, Ella-Gryffindor, Jackson--Gryffindor, Max-Hufflepuff, Robert--Ravenclaw, Me-Ravenclaw. I was relieve to see the kids hadn't assigned me to Slytherin. I made them wait all day for the "movie party" so I know they were tempted. We had a great time and were only the slightest bit sick afterwards. :)
